How should we answer where the incentives come from without giving away what APIs we
are pulling from?
Our database (collects/ pulls/ what is the word here) over xxx,xxx federal, state, county, and
municipal incentives offered to projects that are sustainably-focused are included on a (blank)
basis. To be included, the incentive must promote the triple bottom line: people (social/
equity/ equality), profit (economic development), and planet (environmental). The main types
of incentives recorded are: Tax Rebate, Tax Credit, Grant or Subsidy, Loan or other financial
mechanisms, and other types of incentives.
1. Which incentives are monitored?
Our database contains federal, state, county, and municipal incentives offered to projects that are sustainably-focused are updated on a frequent
basis. To be included, the incentive must promote the triple bottom line: people (social/equity/ equality), profit (economic development), and planet (environmental). The main types of incentives recorded are: Tax Rebate, Tax Credit, Grant or Subsidy, Loan or other financial mechanisms, and other types of incentives.
2. What information is captured?

We capture information about your project from our online survey, additional questionnaires (used to determine eligibility), which incentives your project applies to, which incentives your project is awarded, award amount, and a customer surveys, are all collected to improve our
processes.

3. What type deals are not included in the database?
We do not capture incentives that do not promote the triple bottom line.  See question #2.
4. What historical data does IncentiFind have available?
Our focus is on real-time information.  We also ensure that as new data is released by public and private sector, our database is updated to reflect the latest incentives offered by zipcode.
5. What regions are covered?
We capture incentive information for the United States of America (all 50 states).
6. Is there a minimum size of incentives tracked?
We capture incentive information for both residential and commercial projects. Therefore, incentives of all sizes are tracked.
7. What is the transparency of the database?
The transparency of incentives programs within the US government agencies and private organziation websites do not release exact incentive information. Therefore, states where our coverage is low is a direct reflection of such nondisclosure. These are constantly monitored for updates.
8. In what format does the data download into?
The data is provided to our clients in Adobe PDF containing pernant data fields. This allows our clients to conduct their own analysis.
9. Can we customize the data to make our own reports?
Yes. The database has multiple filter options, however we do not currently offer this feature, yet.

 

Our main filters for our SEARCH deliverable are: Incentive Name; Housing entity (i.e. level of government – Federal, State, County, Council of Government, City, local; or Private Organization); Type (i.e. Grant, Tax Credt, etc).

Our main filters for our VERIFY deliverables are: Incentive Name; Housing entity (i.e. level of government – Federal, State, County, Council of Government, City, local; or Private Organization); Type (i.e. Grant, Tax Credt, etc); Estimated Time to apply per incentive; Estimated Funding amount per Incentive; and Next Steps for our clients.

Any of our data used in a bespoke reportmust be attributed to IncentiFind.

10. What other features are there?
Our features come in the form of steps, from our 4-easy-step process:

STEP 01 – SEARCH:  initial search of our database for incentives using your project zipcode; Feature: Reporting on similar project types searching for incentives by type and location.

STEP 02 – VERIFY:  more comprehensive search and filtering functionality to quickly hone in on incentives relevant to your project; more detailed information on incentive programs, such as expiration date, application deadlines, estimated award amount per incentive; Feature: Reporting providing detailed analysis of the incentives that receive fastest eligibility determination, maximum funding, single point of contact program manager, and utilization rates by similar project types.

STEP 03 – APPLY:  applying on either our client’s behalf, or working with preferred contractor/ vendor/ installer to apply to incentives on our client’s behalf; Feature: Reporting providing detailed analysis of the incentives awarded in different locations, industries and project types, including ranking of the incentives awarded the most.

STEP 04 – LOCATE:  connecting our client to local, qualified professionals as requested; Feature: Reporting on successful connection between professionals and our clients by project type and location.

11. How do we access the information on IncentiFind.com?
To access the incentives, you must fill-out our online survey to activate the first step in our process, 01 SEARCH.  This is a free service to all projects in the USA.
12. What training and support is provided?
STEP 01 – SEARCH:  We provide you with our online survey that guides you through providing the correct information needed to determine the best search results for your project; Our experts perform the initial search of our database for incentives using your project zipcode on your behalf; And then send you your 01 SEARCH Results Report via email.

STEP 02 – VERIFY:

A) We provide you with a follow-up survey that guides you through providing additional (more detailed) information about your project to hone-in on incentives relevant to your project; We use this follow-up survey to perform a more comprehensive search and filtering on your behalf; And then send you a Project Specific List of Incentives; This is a faster, less expensive deliverable for clients who have the know-how and staff to determine eligibility.

B) We provide you with a follow-up survey that guides you through providing additional (more detailed) information about your project to hone-in on incentives relevant to your project; We use this follow-up survey to perform a more comprehensive search, filtering, and details on incentive programs (such as expiration date, application deadlines, estimated award amount per incentive, next steps for our client or their contractor/ installer/ vendor); This deliverable is called 02 VERIFY Results Report and is a completely tailored report for your project and project team; This is for client who are not familiar with determining eligibility and do not have the in-house capabilities to perform the research to obtain this substantial amount of information for each incentive.

STEP 03 – APPLY: We provide you access to our application portal that allows you to quickly see the incentive applications, date of submission per incentive, estimated award amount per incentive, estimated award date per incentive.

STEP 04 – LOCATE: We provide you list of professionals in your area which are relevant to your your project’s scope of work; we also provide professional hand-off in connecting you to the professionals you desire.

13. What types of organizations are using IncentiFind.com?
We serve both public and private sector.

Public: Regulated utility companies, local governments, management districts, state governments, water systems/ entities.  They use our incentive intake to add their incentives to our database; request our Reporting and Analytics to monitor utilization rates and to improve their incentive offering to market demand and interest.

Private: Developers, building owners, tenants, leasing agents, commercial real estate brokers, homeowners, HOAs, Professional Service Providers (architects, engineers, general contractors), lending institutions, private organizations (such as 2030 Districts, or other organizations that offer incentives that promote the triple bottom line), and the list keeps growing.

14. Besides the incentives database, do you also provide consulting services associated with the product?
We have several partners who were closely vetted and have completed several successful projects with us, which provide consulting services ranging from energy analysis, to LEED certification, to Re-commissioning, to portfolio analysis, and much more. Our aim to to assist our clients in making the most informed decisions on their projects.

16. Which steps in your process have a fee associated with them?
STEP 01 – SEARCH: This steps is entirely free to anyone who submits their full response to our online survey

 

STEP 02 – VERIFY: this step has two deliverables for a fee.

A. Project Specific List of Incentives: is $50.00 for residential projects (per project); And $250.00 for commercial projects (per project)

B. 02 VERIFY Results Report: is $1200.00 for commercial projects (per project); unfortunately we do not provide this dedicated service for residential at this time.  Our future plans do include such services for residential.

 

STEP 03: This step is a contingency fee of 2%-10% of total awarded amount for commercial projects only; Unfortunately we do not provide access to our application portal for residential projects, yet; This step is only accessed when a client signs up for 02 VERIFY Results Report.

STEP 04: This step is only accessed when a client signs up for 02 VERIFY Results Report, and is included in the fee associated with that deliverable.
